The Inspiration for our Viking Scarf collection came from the Larbro Picture Stone which is now housed in the Museum of National Antiquities in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Larbro Picture Stone has four panels. We have incorporated in our scarves three of the panels. The lower panel shows a ship with warriors, another depicts 'Odin' a Norse God, in the form of an Eagle, and finally a band of Viking Warriors arriving by sea in a longship about to engage with another band of warriors on land being led by a woman holding a flaming torch.
The Vikings were Norse Seafarers, who from their homelands in Scandinavia raided, traded, explored and settled in wide areas of Europe, Asia and the North Atlantic Islands. The Vikings wooden longships which were light weight and versatile which allowed naviagation in rough seas or shallow water easy.
Our Viking Mora Scarf is a combination of earthy colours Taupe, Red and Wine . We love this lovely bright colourway and we hope you do to.
