A thousand years ago, during Viking's invasion of Scotland, an advancing enemy warrior stepped on a thistle and cried out in pain, inadvertently waking the sleeping Scotsmen, thus alerting the Scots to the presence of the Norse invaders. Scottish King Kenneth III was so grateful that the thistle was adopted as his nation's emblem.
This scarf depicts Scotland's national emblem in a beautiful combination of Lilac, Purple and Soft Green.
